    Duties:

    The Installation Manager ensures that all furniture installations and shop maintenances in China and APAC area are well planned, coordinated and successfully completed. The Installation Manager utilizes all available resources in cooperation with the Project and Production Management and is organizing, directing and supervising all installation operations including involved site personnel and subcontractors with the following tasks:

    Prepare and control all required resources (manpower, equipment, materials, tools, documents, …) to start and handle the work efficiently until the completion of the installation and ensure that all equipment has relevant certificates, tests, services, inspections, etc. as required by client and legislationInspect work onsite and/or remotely to ensure conformity with QA/QC specifications and requirements, local regulations and standards as well as client requirementsProvide technical advice onsite and/or remotely to resolve problemsOrganize tools and materials to be delivered at specific times in order to conform with the workload and schedule at the installation siteInteract with other construction groups and Supervisors, to review and report site progress to the Project and Production ManagementAlign with the Project Manager on corrective actions if the project’s installation runs behind schedule or over the budget and, if necessary, take tactical decisions for allocating resources and assigning staff to keep the project on scheduledeliver a final installation report to the Project Manager with an overview about installation, handover, punch list and a suggestion on how to proceed further Introduce relevant procedures, guidelines, policies, etc. to the site personnel and be a leading exampleEnsure the highest level of quality, health, safety and environmental standards during all stages of construction and be proactive with safety groups and subcontractors to promote safe and hazardous free work within the designated areaConduct regular performance appraisals with Installers and Subcontractors Ensure all personnel on site have had the required training, induction, medical checks, psychometrics, etc. in order to carry out their work on-site Organize and lead installation trainings for Installers and Supervisors regarding client handling, client service, dress code, behavior, …Instruct Supervisors and Installers before they are sent to do the installation create standardized procedures and processes regarding installations like templates for documents and reports, installation instructions, …Organize and maintain tool boxes and safety gear boxes for installationsOrganize hotels and transportation for Installers and SupervisorsSteadily optimize and improve installation procedures, processes and structures Support and assist the Production Management with long-term improvements and daily operations, whenever there are not enough installations ongoing or to be planned and organized

    Requirements:

    1) Basic written and spoken English

    2) Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin

    3) 5 years or above experience in construction work of high-quality shop interior and furniture

    4) Profound knowledge about furniture construction and installation

    5) Good Site Management skills, motivated, able to lead and encourage subordinates and other work groups to work as a team

    6) Hands-on approach to site management, able to work with autonomy and assure a permanent presence until handover to the client

    7) Knowledge of civil and structural codes and other associated codes used in the projects

    8) Understanding of other disciplines like electrical installations, mechanical installations, building construction, instrumentation, water and gas installations, IT, Electronics & Communication from a site-activities point of view

    9) Capable to understand the Company values, especially regarding Client service, the very demanding quality requirements of our products and the importance of timely delivery

    10) Scheduling and assigning tasks according to client′s requests and in coordination with Project and Production Management

    11) Highly responsible and trustworthy, flexible, open to innovative designs and materials, attentive to details, high-quality furniture and passionate for continuous improvement

    12) Strong problem-solving mentality

    13) Rich knowledge of office software
